It doesn't do it all the time so I don't know if the clutch is starting to go out, if it needs to be adjusted or if it's some other issue. I bought the car new and it's just started doing this. There is a shudder from the drive train when pulling away from stop and again when accelerating from a low speed, the judder stops as the box changes up through the gears. The box is a 7 speed dsg Octavia fsi 1.4 Petrol. 1.

When pulling off in 1st or reverse it feels like the clutch is jumping and not biting properly, this causes a severe judder and giving it more beans only exacerbates the judder. Only cure is to dip the clutch full down ... WebDec 10, 2024 · It's clutch whoop. I just spent month trying to work it out n a new clutch is the only solution. £1200 from ford. You can test if its truly clutch whoop. Put on the hand brake firmly and in a safe location. Give it enough rev n gently lift the clutch to bite point. Play with the bite point if you can hear it. 100% clutch whoop.

WebJan 20, 2024 · Just put on the handbrake and engage 1st gear, accelerate as if you want to pull out and take out the clutch slowly to about the middle, see the revs go down but don't let it stall, leave it like that for 2 or 3 seconds.
