Exfat chown

WebUser pi, radarr, sonarr, qbittorrent, are all part of the media group. The pi user has ownership of the mounted volume. I am unable to chmod the mounted volume files to allow other users, it is stuck as drwxr-xr-x. I had a very hard time changing the ownership from root, I had to add uid and gid in the fstab. Chown did not work for this purpose.
