WebIntroduction: Post-stroke emotionalism, outbursts of involuntary crying or laughing, is common after stroke. Little is known about the psychosocial factors associated with this neurological disorder. Aim: To investigate participant's experiences of emotionalism and explore how they managed their symptoms. WebEmotionalism PSE Research Research study Uncontrollable, unprovoked crying after a stroke is known as Post Stroke Emotionalism (PSE). Very little is known about the cause of PSE, with previous studies being small and short term in nature. Almost nothing is known about why and how PSE persists.
